Our story begins with the founding of Council #3433 Knights of Columbus. Driven by faith and fellowship, a group of dedicated members gathers at local restaurants and meeting rooms, laying the groundwork for a vibrant community hub.

The vision expands with the purchase of land at 71st and Keystone Avenue. The Anglers Club is established, offering fishing and generating revenue for future endeavors. The Women's Guild, formed the same year, becomes a vital force in fundraising and community support.

Membership flourishes, necessitating the first expansion of the clubhouse. Friday night dinners become a tradition, bringing members together for shared meals and laughter.

Plans for a dedicated Council building take shape. With the land purchase mortgage burning and support from the State Highway Department, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility takes place in 1961. The grand opening in 1962, featuring Guy Lombardo's orchestra, marks a pivotal moment in the organization's history.

The game room expands, offering space for card games and pool tables. The beloved swimming pool opens in 1970, dedicated to Grand Knight Ed Bradley, and becomes a cherished gathering spot for families.

The Extra Mile Award recognizes Indianapolis 500 drivers exemplifying sportsmanship and perseverance. Renowned figures like Tony Hulman and drivers like Johnny Rutherford and Pancho Carter grace the Council with their presence. Philanthropic endeavors continue, supporting schools and local charities.

The current bingo games begin, attracting new customers and generating funds for charitable initiatives. Dedicated members ensure the success of this ongoing tradition.

Recognizing the need for modernization, the banquet hall undergoes a facelift, while the club embraces a smoke-free environment for the well-being of guests and staff.

As Northside Events & Social Club, the legacy continues. The picturesque venue, nestled amidst 25 acres of wooded land and fresh water lakes, remains a cornerstone for community events, celebrations, and charitable giving. From weddings and galas to fundraisers and family gatherings, every occasion finds a welcoming home at Northside.
